Why am I thankful to Calvin Klein

Collecting the best photos from photo shoots took me a while. They can be divided into rather artistic-portrait photos from a home studio and those more concentrated on colors, textiles and the combination of them.

                                         

I was captivated by the softness of this hoodie. I also fell in love with its short cutting with big hood and wide sleeves. Black and white minimalistic combination seemed perfect for this cold atmosphere outside.

I have to admit, I have a weakness for this particular shade of pink, so when I saw this dress with glitter I said it's a `MUST HAVE`.

The icing on the cake are over-the-knee socks from Calvin Klein. I can honestly recommend them because of their warmth! Thanks to them I’ve survived the guiding tour around the Swedish town.

I have found a new amazing photographer or maybe we have found each other! It was destiny... Soon you will see our collaboration results!

Power of simplicity

The beginning of the year - thinking about past and resolutions!

I was thinking that these photos are as nice as I want this year to be. They were taken in the first days of my high school life. I was so excited about new school, and what was going to happen! The place has also a meaning for me because it's the Modern Art Gallery in Toruń - one of my favorite places. I love going there to see all those inspiring exhibitions and just feel the atmosphere of freedom. Sometimes I can spend hours just browsing fashion books or thinking and sitting there.

To sum up, these photos is a sneak peak of the year 2017. I want to give myself more up to passions. My resolution is to improve my posts and to add them more frequently. Let this year be special!

Now, a couple words about photos - it was a spontaneous photo shoot after lessons with a friend. I know that's not the most professional shooting, but I really like it, so I wanted to share it with you. My outfit is a casual gray dress, black tights, and red lipstick, but I think that's the point here. They express a real happiness - because of what I wear, who I am with and just because what I do!

Reach further than the corner of your closet

Smart clothes must be a challenge. During some occasions, one shouldn’t wear clothes which attract too much attention or don’t follow the dress code. Recently, going to the Netherlands to attend the UN teenage meeting – Model United Nations(MUN), I had to take this fashion challenge again. You can say -,, What kind of outfit can you create with just the three colors: white, black and dark blue?  The most important in this case are the form and the design. However, does it mean that we have to look for a “strange” jacket made of an expensive material, made by a famous designer? Indeed. On contrary, the fashion is about playing with fashion rules.

Choosing clothes for official celebrations I always try to create new combinations of the clothes I keep in my wardrobe. Even some additions can give a remarkable character for a usual white shirt with a pencil shape skirt. The simplest addition is a makeup or a red lipstick.  You must admit that it really isn’t easy to find original and effective things to match smart clothes.

The biggest Discovery of my stay In Leiden (the Netherlands) were vintage shops. Having entered the first of them I immediately felt it was an ideal place for me. They are simply second-hand shops where clothes have been carefully selected. It is not possible to find two similar things to the clothes offered by famous chain shops. They are like little time capsules filled with clothes which can make you travel back in time. For sure I will take the advantage of next occasion to visit a vintage shop during my stay abroad. I can highly recommend this to you.

Are you dreaming about a unique and decent leather bag with a soul, but your grandma has already cleaned her attic? Are you looking for high-wasted jeans but usually they’re of poor quality and they don’t fit well? In that case, you should look for similar places. Despite an outbreak of second-hands offering clothes ‘from England’, it’s difficult to find good quality products there. Anyway, I encourage you to look for treasures which are often hidden under thousands of stuffed jeans with weird stains and stretched sweaters. I don’t know, maybe one day I’ll take a trip to Toruń second-hands area on Bydgoskie Przedmieście (one of the districts of Toruń), which is quite well known not only in my city - one journalists of Vice Poland described this phenomenon (link to the article here  http://www.vice.com/pl/read/odwiedzilismy-w-torunskie-zaglbie-lumpeksow) and I’ll also show you things I’ve found.

Shortage of valuable goods

 Bonjour!

 Only because of the fact that this is the first post, it’ll be quite long. However, we should always start from the beginning, right?

It took me almost 3 months to make everything exactly as I wanted- shooting, logo, name, blog features... but here it comes finally!

Firstly - why this title?
- Col amidonné - (fr. starched collar) was taken from the fact that I was always in love with things with a collar. After opening my wardrobe, you can see that at least half of them include this elegant element.

Don’t think my style is boring, it’s quite the opposite - I love unpredictability, diversity and uniqueness.

With every post, I’ll try to share some advice and novelties with you. I also want to express myself by clothes, so this blog would be a kind of space for creativity. I swear I’m able to tell you where I bought each item of clothing and in what circumstances.

I believe that dressing up must give you joy. I'm wearing what I want - simple. I don’t know if you can call it happiness, but for me, it’s an exceptional feeling. You really cannot underestimate the exact moment of feeling unique in new clothes (of course, we are literally the same, but clothes help us express our inner selves). Personally, the only problem I have with fashion is a shortage of valuable goods, that’s why I often come back from shopping empty-handed, and therefore posting regularly will be a challenge!

After this introduction time for details. Below you can see my session with Sara Goworowska shot in Warsaw. In the next post, I’ll focus especially on our cooperation. Anyway, this is just the beginning of what I want to show. Let the pictures speak for themselves.
